'Farmers with two cow would be provided 100 day wages under MNREGS.'.rural development minister.

Thiruvananthapuram.Rural development and dairy development minister K.C.Joseph said that farmers with two cow would be provided 100 days wages in a year under MNREGS.Addressing a press meet at Thiruvananthapuram he said that MNREGS was extended to productive sectors.As part of this dairy farmers would be given coverage under MNREGS.

Minister added that the state would press for changes in the norms of centrally sponserd schemes .The issue would be taken up with the planning commission by cheif minister on July 28 during the discussion on the plan proposals in NewDelhi.

Kudumbasree and other NGOs would be given assistance to cultivate fallow land .MNREGS norms would be amend for this.Reply to a question he said that trade unionism in MNREGS was an unhealthy trend because there was no employer under it.
