Govt hikes DA by 10%; to benefit 80 lakh employees and pensioners

New Delhi: The Union Cabinet on last Friday approved a proposal to hike dearness allowance to 90 percent from existing 80 percent, a move that would benefit about 50 lakh central employees and 30 lakh pensioners.The hike would be effective from July 1, this year.
The increase in DA to 90 percent would result in additional annual expenditure of Rs 10,879 crore. There would be additional burden of Rs 6,297 crore on exchequer during 2013-14 on account of this hike in DA.

Government announces Seventh Central Pay Commission

New Delhi The government announced the setting up of the Seventh Central Pay Commission (CPC) ahead of elections, heralding the prospect of salary increases for nearly 80 lakh employees and pensioners, although the actual revisions will take about three years or so and could put finances under strain at the time. "The average time taken by a Pay Commission to submit its recommendations has been about two years. Accordingly, allowing about two years for the 7th CPC to submit its report, the recommendations are likely to be implemented with effect from 1.1.2016," Finance Minister P Chidambaramsaid in a statement issued by the government on Wednesday.

BDO arrested for accepting bribe

Devikulam.Vigilance officials led by DySP Ratheesh Krishna on 
Wednesday arrested Devikulam Block Development Officer Akshayakumar
 for accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000 from a Pooppara resident. The vigilance
 had received a complaint that the BDO had asked for a bribe of Rs. 5,000 
for clearing the last installment of the amount of Rs. 2 lakh allotted for building
 IAY  house under the government scheme.

Kerala governments decision to distribute onakkodi to MGNREGS employees may be faild.As per the latest report MGNREGS state cell  has written letter to all panchayths to distributes Rs 400s cheques instead of onakkodi  to employees before 13 th of this month.

Kerala government employees will get Rs 3500 as Onam bonus

Thiruvananthapuram. Kerala govt declare the onam bonus. Asper the decleration state govt employees up to Rs 14500 as basic salary will get onam bonus Rs 3500. Other employees will get Rs 2200 as special allowance. Temperory employees will get Rs 480- 910 as special allowance.

1.organise trade fairs for rural products at districts/ blocklevel
2.provide assistance to SHG for participating in SARAS melas.
3.strengthen the DSMS.
