Kerala govt employees salary through banks.

Thiruvananthapuram: The state government has issued on order for disbursing salaries of government employees through public sector banks. The employees have the option of opting for it and is not mandatory. The departmental heads have been asked to get the approval from employees.

The gazette employees preparing the salary bill also can collect the salary though banks. But govt pension wouldn't be given through banks. The system would come into effect soon.

New BPL definition - planning commission's new affidavit make controversy

Planning commission tuesday filed a fresh affidavit describing the definition of below poverty line(BPL). In the latest affidavit the planning commission has provisionally defined the BPL cap for rural and urban areas to be Rs.26 and Rs.36 per person respectively for a month at June 2011 price level.
"The poverty line at June 2011 price level can be placed provisionaly at Rs.781 per capita per month in rural areas. At June 2011 price level for a family of five members this provisional poverty line would amount to Rs.4824 per month in urban areas and Rs.3905 per month in rural areas" the affidavit said.

Centrel govt employees DA increased by 7%

Newdelhi.the central govt increased 7% percent hike in the dearness allowance.they pay hike would be applicable from July 1.the DA for the employees would increased from present 51 percent to 58 percent.

In G.O (P) No. 381/2011/Fin dated 06/09/2011 Government have reclassified the scales of pay of Groups and revised the rate of subscription under Group Insurance Scheme with effect from 01/09/2011.  All the employees now subscribing to the Scheme are directed to come over to the revised rate of subscription with reference to the revised scale of pay.
