As per new MGNREGS guidelines cattle shed,goat shed and hen-coop may be made. New guidelines will not permit any other activity in cattle rearing .But the state government decided to make a proposal before central govt, ie gave benefits of MGNREGS to farmers rearing cows with 10 litres milk per day.
As per the Mihir Sha committee report only 5 cow sheds,5 goat sheds and 5 hen coops will be made in a Gramapanchayath per year. Beneficiary selection also included in the scheme and priority will be given to SC/ST , BPL , IAY beneficiaries etc.
